Norman Nester, 86, formerly of Emmaus, passed away January 8, 2014 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was born February 6, 1927, to the late Elmer and Mabel (Fegley) Nester. Norm was married to Stella (Smith) Nester for 65 years. A WWII veteran, he also served in the National Guard and worked for Superior Combustion and Air Products until he retired. Norm was a humble, hard-working, fun-loving man who adored his family, enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildrens sporting events, and kidding with his care takers. He will be missed by many. Survivors: In addition to Stella; Norm was Dad to four daughters, Sharon Bleiler, Renee (Brad) Hoch, Denise (Barry) Jacoby, and Monica Nester (Tom Thayer); Grandpa to Brian Hoch, Andrea Hoch-Reinhart, Rebecca Abruzzese, Derek Bleiler, and Stephanie Bleiler; and Opa to eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Raymond, Vernon, and Kermit; and sisters, Marian Frankenfield, Annabelle Buss, and Mae Wentz-Nicholas. He was predeceased by son, Kenneth; brothers, Linwood, Melvin, Wilmer, and Donald; and sisters, Alma Miller and Merle Lorish.
