Carson L. Jones Jr., 84, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Worth Baptist Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Carson Lee Jones Jr. was born on Feb. 2, 1930, to Carson Lee Jones Sr. and Myrtle Naomi Anderson Jones in Brooklet, Ga. He was born again in March, 1947, and was called to preach in 1949. He met Katherine Bristow while in Bible school and they were married June 7, 1952. They went to Mexico as missionaries in 1957. On Jan. 13, 2006, Katherine went home to be with the Lord. While in Mexico C.L. started 23 churches. Survivors: Children, Deborah L. Smith, Daniel L. Jones Sr., Jonathan L. Jones and Jennifer L. Ikey, 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
