WESTON — Walter Ray "Pal" Ruble, 75, of Weston, WV, died Friday, November 20, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, following a brief illness.
He was born January 3, 1934, in Kingwood, WV, a son of the late Louis Cass Ruble and Pearl V. Snider Ruble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Lynn "Hawk" Ruble; four brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ann Harris Ruble; one son, one daughter, four grandsons; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Walter was a glassworker for 41 years, working at West Virginia Glass, Louie Glass and Colonial Glass.
e was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and going for sightseeing drives with his wife.
He was a loyal fan of both the West Virginia Mountaineers and Dallas Cowboys.
