Ed was born on June 19, 1928 to Harvey and Ella (Honea) Williams in Athens, Texas. Ed was a man of honor, integrity, had a big heart, and always did the right thing no matter what the cost. During his incredible life, he had been President of the Lions Clubs, Retail Merchants Assoc. President, write in and elected Mayor of a Texas town. His protection of the less fortunate was extremely evident as he served on the Child Welfare Board-Lubbock County.
Ed was a man of many talents and trades, from manager of a lumber yard, building contractor, truck driver, trailer park owner, moving mobile homes, and raising emu's. But his most precious, other than his family, was his horses.
His trail rides were one of his passions in his life. Ed always Cowboy'ed up. He met many lifelong friends on those trail rides. He scouted out the rides and considered it his personal responsibility to protect the riders. The Cowboys and Cowgirls on all the trail rides, each and every one of you touched Ed's life and made it better. To his close friends (you know who you are) you were irreplaceable to him.
Ed leaves behind his wife, Genoa Lou Williams of Sidney; daughter, Jana Williams and Sid Southerland of Hallsville, granddaughter that he raised as his daughter, Lexi Fuller of Sidney, and Andrea Fuller of Stephenville; son, Lonnie Fuller and wife Nita of Amagosa Valley, Nevada, Shane Fuller and wife Michelle of Hico, and John Fuller and wife Kim of Allen; beloved grandchildren, Jennifer and Jacob Hill, Brooke and Ty Edward Fuller, Alyssa and Hayes Fuller, Jade and Ally Garza, and Guerin and Jasa Fuller; sister, Ann Hensley of Canton. He is also survived by other relatives, David and Carla Williams, Tel and Dal Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Memorials can be made to Taylor's Chapel Cemetery, c/o Zulean Poynor 4531 Hwy 2247 Comanche, Texas 76442. Family and friends are welcomed to leave online condolences at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
