Clifford W. Baldwin, 79, died at 5:45 PM Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, in his Lafayette home. Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Ironton, OH, he moved here from Ironton. He married Bessie Hieronimus on Aug. 6, 1945, in Ironton; she died June 12, 1991.

Mr. Baldwin retired from Rostone in 1984. He served in the Army Dec. 16, 1944 to Aug. 15, 1947, and was a corporal when he was discharged. His hobby was reading.

Surviving are a son, James Baldwin (wife Rena); and a daughter, Deborah K. Emery, both of Lafayette; a sister, Eloise Burgess of Sumterville, FL; and six grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens on Aug. 7, the Rev. Herb Wingard officiating.
