Jack Leslie Bush was born in Washington County, Indiana. Jack graduated from Salem High School Class of 1938. He enrolled at Indiana University and earned a degree in accounting Class of 1942. He joined the Army soon after and attended Officer Candidate School. He also completed Ranger training before being assigned to the European Theater in WWII. He was highly decorated.
He returned to Washington County after the war and met his wife, Doris Doyle, there. They were married in Marion County, Indiana on February 23, 1946.
He was a CPA. He enjoyed the outdoors, sailing, shooting sports and automobiles.
