Mrs. Cecil Abercrombie Carr, aged 60 years, widow of the late Thomas L. Carr, who passed away June 3rd, 1963, died at the Licking Valley Rest Home in Falmouth on Thursday, September 26th at 1:30 p.m. after a long illness. She had been a resident at the Rest Home for three weeks.

She was the daughter of Harper and Julia Lovelace Abercrombie and was born in this county. She was married to Mr. Carr and to this union three children survive. She also leaves two granddaughters, one sister, and three brothers.

Mrs. Carr was a splendid Christian woman and was a member of the Morgan Christian Church. In her passing our county has lost a splendid citizen and she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Morgan Christian Church, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery. The Peoples Funeral Home of Falmouth was in charge of arrangements.
