MARTHA IRENE WILLIAMS, 81, of Duncan, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clif Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Martha Irene was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Stillwater, to Jessie Homer and Elsie Burton Emerson. She married Ernest Eugene "Gene" Williams on June 18, 1950, in Muskogee. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1979.
She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist School of Nursing in Muskogee in 1947. She worked for the school as a public health nurse before her marriage. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Terry Gene and Jennifer Williams, and Kandi Lyn Wernimont, all of Duncan, and Joe Layne Williams of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren: Jason Williams, Cory Howell, Jim Williams and Courtney Howell, all of Duncan.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.
Bearers will be Jimmy Don Williams, Jason Williams, Cory Howell, Donald Peck, Gail Jones and J.R. Hasty.
