Melba Jean Fincher, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Jean had a long battle with Alzheimer's, but is resting in peace now. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Viewing: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Jean was born in Fort Worth, but she moved many times following the love of her life, Joe. They were married for 52 years and she was totally committed to and raised her three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her life revolved around her family and we were truly blessed to have been loved by her. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bobbie Burney; all her siblings; and her love, Joe Fincher. Survivors: Daughter, Linda Dyer and husband, Ron, sons, Brian Akers, Steve Akers, wife, Amy, and sons, Bobbie and Joey; first son, Ron Fincher and wife, Kathy, son, Ron Jr. and wife, Jane; second son, Randy Fincher and wife, Mary Beth, and son, Matthew.
