YEADON - John S. McMullen, 79, of 425 Church la., died Thursday at Delaware County Hospital. He had been hospitalized since his car was involved in a head-on collision with another auto in East Lansdowne two weeks ago. He had been an upholsterer more than 50 years and had operated an upholstery shop at his home for many years. He previously had a shop at 54th and Spruce sts., in Philadelphia. Mr. McMullen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Warren McMullen; two sons, J. Herbert and Robert K., and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Carroll and Mrs. Vernon Thomas. Services were today at the George C. Toppitzer funeral Home, Drexel Hill. Burial was in Arlington cemetery, Drexel Hill.

Crash Injures Man Critically
EAST LANSDOWNE - John S. McMullen, 79, of 825 Church la., Yeadon, was injured critically about 8:30 a.m. in an auto accident here. He was taken to Delaware County Hospital where he was reported in "critical" condition with undetermined injuries. Details of the accident were not immediately available. McMullen operates the Atlas Upholstery Shop at 425 Church la., Yeadon.
