Veteran of World War I.

Son of Judge Jacob Miller Owen (1845-1933) and Isabella Anne (Farish) Owen (1856-1926).

He married Dorothy Evelyn Wheaton on Feb 7,1925 at Pawtucket,RI.

Children: Patricia Farish Owen Miller Steiner(wife of Peter Otto Steiner) and Cynthia Ann Owen Philip.

World War I Veteran Celebrates 98th Birthday
Mr Farish Owen was born in Annapolis Royal in a house near the Historic Gardens on June 28, 1892. His parents were Judge Jacob Owen and Isabella (Belle) Ann Farish. When WWI broke out he went overseas to serve as a pilot. He trained in France with only about 10 hours of flying time before flying over enemy lines. After flying in France for a short time he was sent to the Bulgarian Front where he was shot down and taken prisoner for a year and a half.
