From facebook.com:

Margo E. Plumb, a talented, creative soul, left this world on March 19, 2014. She was born October 28, 1933 in American Falls, Idaho to the late Charles Crowder and Elizabeth Dille Crowder. In 1952, she married the Rev. James L. Plumb, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Margo and James pastored churches in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Louisiana and Texas. They also managed nursing homes in Iowa, Oregon, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Here in Corpus Christi, Margo worked as a seamstress at the C.C. State School until retiring a few years ago.

Margo is remembered in the many places she lived for her creative artistry: She designed clothes and costumes, decorated parties and events, was an excellent cook and cake decorator. She wrote poetry and plays, read voraciously, and loved opera and gospel music. She was quick with puns, wordplay, and loved to tell a good story. Travel to Samoa, Israel, and Turkey were highlights of her life. She also collected bells from all over the world.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruthmary Crowder; two brothers, Kelly Crowder and Rev. Linfield Crowder, her husband, and a son, Timothy Plumb. She is survived by two sisters, Alice Trumblee and Gracie LaBombard, and three children, Dawn DuJour, Terence Plumb, and Candace Plumb. She also has four grandchildren; Isaac Byrne, Autumn Plumb, Camden Plumb and Tyrell Plumb, and four great- grandchildren. The two great-granddaughters who live here in Corpus, Madeline Plumb and Cloey Holler were a special joy to her in these last years. Valerie and Charlie Plumb reside in California and have skyped with her.

A memorial service will be held on Palm Sunday, April 13 at 3pm, following a potluck lunch after the morning service at Country Tabernacle, 5818 FM 666, Robstown, Tx. Rev. John and Kathy Byerley and their congregation have been outstanding in their loving care for our widowed mother, and the family is deeply grateful. Memories and words of condolence may be left at Margo Plumb on Facebook.com.
