Mr. Adam Russell Meyer 29, husband of Laura Elizabeth Altman Meyer passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Hampton.
Adam was born July 30, 1984 at the Allendale County Hospital in Fairfax. He was the son of Russell Meyer and Bonnie Harter Meyer of Fairfax. Adam was employed with the Debris Contractor in Georgetown and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fairfax.
Adam was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and any type of auto mechanic work. He will always be remembered for lending a hand to family and friends in need. He will be greatly missed.
Adam is survived by his parents Russell and Bonnie Meyer of Fairfax; wife Laura Elizabeth Altman Meyer of Brunson; two children: Jonathan Russell Meyer and Ashlee Elizabeth Meyer of Brunson; one brother, Joshua Meyer of Fairfax; one grandmother, Myrtle Meyer of Thomson, Georgia; brother in law and best friend Lawrence Benjamin Altman of Brunson; Sister in law Angela Renee Altman of El Paso, Texas; mother in law Frances Benton Altman of Brunson; two nieces Daizy and Suzie Meyer of Fairfax and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins all of whom loved him very much. Adam was predeceased by grandparents Maxwell and Elizabeth Harter, Grandfather RC Meyer and father in law Charles Henry Altman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2 PM in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Brian Henderson with burial following in the Bowers Cemetery near Brunson.
