A native of Elbert County, Mr. Yeargin was a son of the late Snow and Eva Hall Yeargin. He was a retired owner and operator of Dial Granite Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Waymon Dotson and Charles Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Hilley Yeargin; a daughter, Donna Yeargin, Elberton; a son, Norris Yeargin, Hartwell; five sisters, Rudell Evans and Corine Smith, both of Elberton, Betty Harrell and Pauline Sword, both of Texas, and Francis Stone, Abbeville, S.C.; two brothers, George Yeargin, Elberton, and Junior Yeargin, Atlanta; and a grandchild.
