Jacob a son, fourth born child of five children. All born to Jacob Morris Sr. and Elizabeth (Yandell) Morris. Jacob Jr. married Cassinda Reynolds on 6 Aug. 1865 in Leavenworth Co., Kansas. They have fourteen children. The names and some dates were recorded in a Family Bible. Two of the children were sons less then twenty-four hours old when they died. One child was eleven months 6 days old before he died. One daughter was about one day old when she died. Seven married and had children of their own. One child we are still trying to find. If anyone knows anything about the children. We will gladly make addittions or corrections.

Jacob served in the Kansas Militia Infantry during the Civil War. On the Union side in Company K, 19th Kansas Militia Infantry. They were never in any battles per say. But in what was designated as Skirmishes within Kansas.
