Mrs. Evans was born Jan. 27, 1881, at Presque Isle, Maine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thayer. She married John B. Evans in Pullman in 1905 and the same year Mr. and Mrs. Thompson moved to Lewiston. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband: two daughters, Mrs. Emily Johnston, and Mrs. Wilma Moon, both of Lewiston; her son, Sgt. John H. Evans, stationed in England; five sisters Mrs. C.H. Featherstone and Mrs. S.W. Swadener, living in California; Mrs. T.J. Hennessy, San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. W.A. Wallis, Grand Coulee, Wash., and two grandchildren.
