Helen (Bittinger) Gray-Toston, 93, of Mt. Lake Park passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home. Born on November 25, 1919, at home within a mile of her last residence, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Myrtle G. Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by a husband, Francis A. Gray, in 2000; two sons, John Stark and Douglas Gray; and two brothers, Delbert and Harland Bittinger. She is survived by her husband, John R. Toston of Mt. Lake Park; a son, David M. Gray and wife Sonja of Germany; granddaughters, Linda Moody, Nancy Rotolone and Mary Jon Stark; sisters, Ruth Weimer and Betty Porter Dodson; and many nieces and nephews including her special niece, Suzanne Martin of Burtonsville, MD. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 9 AM in St. Peter the Apostle Church, Oakland with Rev. Donald Parson as celebrant. Helen donated her entire body to the Maryland Anatomy Board. Interment will take place at a later date in LaPlata, MD next to Francis Gray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
