Lloyd Abner, 83, husband of Aileen Baber Abner, passed away on March 17, 2014 at his home. Mr. Abner was born on January 3, 1931, in Clark County, to the late Joseph Oscar and Laura Woolery Abner. He was a farmer, a member of Antioch Christian Church and Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 children, Lloyd Douglas Abner and Barbara Jean (Jerry) Brinegar; granddaughter, Jessica Frances (Jeff) Stamper; great grandson, Cody Stamper; step granddaughter, Kodi Danielle Caudill; 4 brothers, Burton J. (Ruby) Abner, Tracy Gene Abner, Kenneth (Juanita) Abner and Clyde (Sandy) Abner; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Antioch Christian Church by Pastor Atwood Winkle. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Brineger, David Moore, Philip Smith, Joe Smith, John Wells and James Taulbee. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Wells, Jimmy Taulbee and the men of Antioch Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am, Thursday, March 20 at Antioch Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Antioch Christian Church – Building Fund Muddy Creek Road, Winchester, KY 40391 and/or Hospice East 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.
