Sarah Elizabeth Batson Chitwood, a native of Greenville, SC and longtime resident of Mobile, AL died Sunday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dean Batson and Gladys Burns Batson, and her husband, Lloyd Charleston Chitwood and her brother, Charles Batson. She is survived by her son, two sisters, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
