Born in Winterset, July 11, 1889, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Young) Travis. On August 19, 1914, she married Norman E. Hollen in Winterset. Mrs. Hollen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Federated Women's Club, a Garden Club and Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son Robert, of Creston; two daughters, Margaret Stark of Lawndale, California, and Marjorie Bishop of Winterset; a sister, Louisa Sawyers of Winterset; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, 7 sisters, a son and a grandson.
