ROBERT W. BANNERMAN, age 87 of Dewey Lake, Brooklyn, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at CareLink of Jackson. He was born on August 16, 1926 in Cleveland Ohio to William M. and Viola L. (Bieler) Bannerman. Bob lived most of his life in Toledo, Ohio, and then in his retirement years, he lived at Dewey Lake. He graduated from high school in 1944. He was Project Manager for Douglas Corporation in Toledo. Bob was a veteran serving in the United States Navy, from 1944-1946. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Toledo and the American Legion in Brooklyn. He enjoyed boating and vacationing in Cancun. Bob is survived by his companion; Sue Newton of Dewey Lake, Brooklyn, one daughter; Susan Hitchcock of Simpsonville, S.C., grandchildren; Joey Hitchcock of Tonawanda, N.Y., Lisa and Mike Diaz of Margate, FL, one sister; Shirley Morse of Wooster, OH, nephews; Mr. & Mrs. Carl Wolf and Mr. & Mrs. James Wolf. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister; Helen Wolf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Dunn Chapel, Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Onsted, with Pastor Tom McMichael officiating. Burial will take place in Roseland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday.
