Lawrence Arthur Baxter, 62, passed away May 8, 2010, in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta, Ga.
Larry was born Jan. 19, 1948, in Augusta, Ga. He was the son of Thelma Harley Baxter and the late Arthur S. Baxter. He was a member of the class of 1966 at Barnwell High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of Barnwell United Methodist Church, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Unit #1650 and the Aiken Co. Triple Crown Wings.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barnwell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joey McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery on Hagood Ave. Visitation will be fro 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son, Stephen Baxter; his mother, Thelma H. Baxter; his sister, Sheryl Baxter, all of Barnwell. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Baxter.
