Mildred F. "Jackie" Chenoweth, 83, a resident of the Glenmore community, Elkins, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 10:22 a.m. at her residence.

She had been in failing health, however death was sudden.

Born July 23, 1924, at Woodbridge, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Virginia Shanaholts Sullivan.

On April 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to John D. Chenoweth, who preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1984.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were three brothers, Chloman, Winfield and Wallace Sullivan; and one grandson, Richard Paul "Ricky" Chenoweth.

Jackie is survived by two daughters, Estelle "Tille" Biller and husband, Robert, of Dailey and Linda White and husband, Eugene, of Canton, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Brenda West and husband, Charles, of Helenwood, Tenn., Viola Higgins of Elkins and Ida Ruth Sweckert and husband, Leo, of North Carolina; three sons, Bobby Chenoweth and wife, Kathy, of Glenmore community, where they made their home with Jackie for 23 years, John R. Chenoweth of Elkins and Gary D. Chenoweth and wife, Cheri, of Buckhannon; two stepsons, Donnie Chenoweth and wife, Eilene, of Montrose and Ronnie Chenoweth and wife, Ritha, of Kelly Mountain; one sister, Estelle Carney of Dale City, Va.; and one brother, Floyd Sullivan and wife, Rosenna, of North Carolina.

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several stepgreat-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Jackie was a homemaker.

She welcomed people into her home with open arms over the years.

Jackie had love in her heart for everyone. She never met a stranger.

Jackie was greatly loved by her family and friends.

She will be greatly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

"Heaven has gained a special angel."

Friends will be recieved at Runner Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from Runner Chapel Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m.

Pastor David Collins of Hart's Chapel Community Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in American Legion's Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale.

Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mildred F. "Jackie" Chenoweth.
