Dorothie Grace Branstetter Cornell, 86, of West Lafayette, died at 10:35 AM Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in George Davis Manor. The daughter of the late Ross and Nola (Williamson) Branstetter, she was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Tippecanoe County. A lifelong area resident, she attended Klondike High School. She married Edgar Harvey Cornell on June 17, 1955, Delphi, IN, and he died in 1988. Mrs. Cornell was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters (from a previous marriage), Peggy Decker Niemiec of West Lafayette, Patricia Decker (Mrs. William) Kenney of Florida; one sister, Gladys Williamson of Coatsville, IN; a daughter-in-law, Renat Decker of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Gordon Decker; grandsons, Dean Decker; and a brother, Robert Branstetter.
