Funeral service with Charles Kuhn officiating will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow in Moran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home of Breckenridge.
Lon L. Amason was born on October 28, 1934 in Stephens County, Texas to Bill and Vina Ola Bise Amason.
He married Margaret Wilburn on June 23, 1956 in Breckenridge.
He worked for Fox Photo Company as a Photofinisher and had worked for Breck Homes.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Amason of Granbury; daughter, Lucinda Amason of Granbury; sons, Gary Lon Amason and Annetteof Tilden and Billy Paul Amason and Teresa of George West; brother, Jesse Amason of Haskell; nine grandchildren Paul, Amy, Krystal, Sheila, Amy W. Ben, Justin, Mary, and Maggie; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Allison; two soon to be born; nieces, Robin and Tina Amason; nephew, Jason Amason; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
