Mr Crouch was married Sep 6 1918 and was then shipping out for Europe and WWI. Military records from Fold3 indicate he never shipped out but was transferred to the military hospital at Camp Mills, Hempstead, NY. Perhaps he was a victim of the Flu Epidemic of 1918 which tore through the ranks of soldiers.
