B.F. Downing, residing five miles west of this city, was seriously and possibly fatally, injured yesterday while entering his barn during the prevalence of the the strong wind which visited this locality yesterday. The heavy door of the barn was blown violently against him, knocking him down and fracturing his skull. We understand that a portion of his body is paralyzed from the effects of his injuries and that his condition is indeed critical.
Later - Since writing the above we have learned that Mr. Downing has died at an early hour this morning.
