Funeral services for Oscar Caplan, 70, a Houston resident from the early 1920s to the late 1940s, who died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona, were held in New York City, Friday, April 21.
.
While a resident of Houston, Mr. Caplan was active in communal affairs and member of Congregation Adath Yeshurun, the Zionist Organization, B'nai B'rith, and a number of other organizations.
.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Esther Caplan, Phoenix; four sons, Milton, Mischa, Arnold and Julian, all of New York City; a brother, Louis Caplan of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews, all of Houston.

He was the brother of the late Rev. Reuben Kaplan.
