James Robinson McCabe was born Sept 8, 1887 in Coshocton, Ohio the son of William Henry McCabe (an editor) and Ella Rowena Robinson. He died at age 80, April 8, 1968 at home, Willson Mills Rd., Gates Mills, Ohio, formerly of Tulsa, Okla. His widow, Ethel R. (nee Cable) was born July 8, 1887 in Lima, Ohio, one of six chldren of David Johnson Cable and Mary A. Cable. She died Nov. 25, 1973 in a Lima, OH nursing home at age 86 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
James was a self employed attorney, 6 ft tall, medium build with hazel eyes, red hair and a ruddy complexion. He was a US Navy midshippman 1904-1905 and a US Army Captain when he married. He had been stationed at Camp Funston in Kansas. He & Ethel attended Ohio Wesleyan Univ. James then attended Western Reserve U. in Cleveland. Ethel's home was in Lima, Ohio and she was a teacher until they married April 21, 1918 in Lima, OH.
