Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Stony Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. Lanny Lancaster will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Helms was born, October 20, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late Ralph Edward Adams and Nance Winter Adams.
She was a member of Stony Hill Methodist Church and was last employed as a Pharmacy Technician. Carolyn was a very friendly lady that loved her family and friends. She found comfort and joy in playing the piano and organ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Steven Eugene Helms and Jeffery Bryan Helms.
She is survived by her husband, Wiley Eugene Helms of the home; daughters, Janet Medlin of Norwood and Mardi Kohlage of Mount Pleasant; brother, Eddie B. Adams of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
