A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ernest Joseph Abraham at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
Ernest Joseph Abraham, 96, of Alexandria, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, in his residence.
He was a retired businessman and a member of the Syra-Meric Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alma Abraham and his sister, Alice Hesni.
Ernest Abraham is survived by His Wife, Agnes LaHood Abraham of Alexandria; one daughter, Alma Holland of Alexandria; grandchildren, Rhonda Taylor and husband Parrish, Debbie Weishuhn and husband, Dale; seven great-grandchildren.
Friends are asked to call from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at John Kramer & Son.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hesni, Parrish Taylor, Dale Weishuhn, Steve Holland, Dick Roberts, Bobby Mourad, Sam Mahfouz and Vernice Wright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Gormanus, Ellis LaHood, Tom LaHood, Tommy Antoon, Joe McKey, Jerry Petty, Russell Abraham and Jimmy Summerlin.
