A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Agnes LaHood Abraham will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church with Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. until time of service in the church on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Agnes LaHood Abraham, 96, of Alexandria passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in her residence.
Agnes was born in Mansfield, LA on December 25, 1917 and has been a lifelong resident of Alexandria. Agnes above all, loved God and her children. Her special talent was cooking and feeding everyone. A lot of people will remember her from working at Fuzzy's Drive Inn for many years. Agnes' favorite charity is St. Jude's Children's Hospital and has been a long time supporter of their cause.
Mrs. Abraham is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Ernest J. Abraham, who was the love of her life; parents, Abraham and Catherine LaHood; step mother, Tamam LaHood; three brothers, Joe LaHood, Pete LaHood and LaHood LaHood; three sisters, Dell Summerlin, Mary Mourad and Lula LaHood.
The Abraham family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
