Son of William and Abigail Thomas. Enlisted at Stockton, ME Apr 30, 1861 at age 21 as a privae into Co B 2ndMaine Infantry Regiment. Wounded May 27, 1862 severely in leg, amputated, at battle of Hanover Courthouse, VA. He died of his wound June 19, 1862 and is buried at Cold Harbor National Cemetery, VA FAG #23443025.
