Mrs. David Archibald died in Calgary on Thursday in her 88th year. She had not been in good health for some time. Mrs. Archibald was born in Ontario. She married Mr. Archibald 55 years ago and came west with him in 1899. They homesteaded at Poplar Ridge and Mrs. Archibald lived there and in Red Deer ever since. She was widely known and liked. Three daughters, Mrs. Geo. McClure of Vancouver, Mrs. Geo. Jarvis and Mrs. A. Gehrke of Red Deer; one step-son, Ernest, of Toffino, B.C., and one son, Roy, of Poplar Ridge, survive. Mr. Archibald passed away in June, 1943. There are 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
