Foster Clayton Boyd, Jr., 87, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during WWII and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #776. He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster Clayton Boyd, Sr. and Versie Phillips Boyd, son, Robert Lee Boyd, and brothers, Fred and Irby Boyd.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Lee Wensel of Christiansburg; former wife and best friend, Audrey Knepper of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Gina Rhea and Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Military graveside services will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to VFW Post #776, c/o Gary Harris, 402 Ninth St., Radford, VA 24141.
The Boyd family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
