Dorothy Lassing age 98, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her home. She was born November 1, 1915 in DeSoto, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lillian (nee Harrison) and Frank Ponzar.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Edward Fred Lassing, her son Donald E. (the late Mary "Darlene") Lassing, 8 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her daughters Dorothy (the late Andrew) White of Festus, Charlotte (James) Eckert of Greenwood, Indiana and Joyce (Gary) Winkler of Rochester, Michigan, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She worked at the former Co-Ed Garment Factory in Festus and was a member of Church of Our Lady in Festus.
Visitation 10:00 A.M. with funeral services at 12:00 noon Monday, March 17, 2014 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City, Missouri. Memorials in her memory are preferred to Mercy Hospital Jefferson Hospice or the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund.
