He was born on June 28, 1922 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Olen Jackson and Lona Gertrude Eye Kee.
On April 21, 1946 he married, Essie Costley "Debbie" Kee, who preceded him in death on November 13, 2001. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Kee.
Aubrey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the US Army during WWII. He lived his entire life in the Harrisonburg area and attended Mt. Clinton School. In 1961 he opened Kee's Body Shop. Aubrey enjoyed antique cars and attending car shows.
He is survived by two sons, Richard A. Kee and wife, Karen, of Harrisonburg and W. Michael Kee of Weyers Cave; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Booten of Elkton, and Dorothy Sites of Keezletown.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 PM, Friday, March 14, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Len Aamodt officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Military rites will be by Dayton American Legion Post #27.
