WILLIAMS

The funeral service for Dudley Bryan Williams will be held today, September 17, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joseph Goodin will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dudley was born June 14, 1928, in Electra, TX to William Jennings Bryan and Anna Belle Williams, and died Friday, September 14, 2007, in Enid.

He at-tended Dumas High School and entered the United States Air Force at the age of 17. He served his country throughout the world for three years and he was honorably discharged in 1949.

In 1951 he met Doris Dozier in Atoka, OK and they were married on December 21, 1951. For the next 15 years they traveled the midwestern United States with Amis Construction Company, during which time he also obtained his pilot's license before settling in Enid in 1966. He worked for Bert Smith Road Machinery of Enid for 15 years. For the next 30 years he operated his own company, Williams Water Well Company, as a licensed water well driller and with great success, expanded his business in the oil field, operating a foam air unit.

He was a long time member of the Oklahoma Water Well Association, the Masonic Lodge in Savannah, OK, and was a strong supporter of the Republican National Committee. He had re-affrmed his acceptance of Jesus Christ and was prepared to meet his savior.

He is survived by his four children, Sheri Ladonna Smith, Terril Bryan Williams, Nancy Acena Beavers, Laurie Ann Flanagan; grandchildren, Bryan Wade, Sarah Kuehn, Haley Clark, Verda Jean Smith, Clint Smith, Michael Smith, Scott Flanagan, Ashlee Flanagan and Bryanna Flanagan; and nine great-grandchildren; brother, W.J. Williams, sisters, Acena Christian, Odean Kight and brother, Bill Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents and two brothers, Ronnie and Waard Williams.

He received special care at St. Mary's Congestive Heart Failure Unit where he made good friends with fellow patients and the nursing staff. The family gives special thanks to his doctors and nurses for their special care.
