The eldest of four children born to Carlo and Victoria Pieretti. Olga was born on the McGrath Ranch, Andrus Island, Sacramento Delta shortly after her parents disembarked a "paddlewheeler" from San Francisco. She matriculated at Bates Grammer school and graduated from Courtland High School (class of 1931) where she excelled in sports and art.

After her marriage to her husband, Emil they became residents of the old Sacramento river hamlet of Paintersville. They subsequently moved to the H.P. Garin, Beleny Ranch on Grand Island. She and Emil made their retirement home in Walnut Grove where she lived until her hospitalization in December. Olga was an avid photographer, having recorded her families farming activities and other Delta events. She was recognized for the realistic painting of her husband's hand carved duck decoys. She loved flowers and gardening.

Olga worked as a mail clerk and substitute rural mail carrier at the Courtland Post Office for years. She had been active in St. Anthony's Church, the Altar Society, the Sacramento Delta Historical Society, school and other related community events.
