MRS. BRIDGET MURPHY DESJARDIN--Mrs. Bridget Murphy Desjardin died, June 13, 1943, at the Amesbury Hospital this morning at the age of 66. Mrs. Desjardin, the widow of Hormidas Desjardin, was a native of this town. She was a member of Council 44 of the St. Jean Baptiste Union, of Newburyport. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.(Agnes)Arthur Dostie and Mrs.(Loretta)Jack Adams; two sons, Leo and Maurice Desjardin; two sisters, Miss Mary Murphy and Mrs. Catherine Gilbert; two brothers, Thomas Murphy and John Murphy; nine grandchildren and one great- grandchild. The funeral will be held from the home, 65 Thompson Street, Wednesday morning at 8:15, with a solemn high mass at the Sacred Heart Church at 9. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The funeral services for Mrs. Bridget Desjardin were held yesterday morning from the family home, 65 Thompson Street, and at the Sacred Heart Church with a solemn high mass of requiem, celebrated by Rev. Henri J. Fillion, pastor, assisted by Rev. Leo Dumas as deacon, and Rev. Noel Giard, as sub deacon. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives. The bearers were William Mathieu, Ludger April, Peter Ouellette, William Terrio, Onesime Chretien and Eugene Riel. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery where prayer were recited at the grave by Rev. Fr. Fillion.
