OBITUARY-
ADAMS -- Henry J. Hass, 88, of Adams, a former auto mechanic died Tuesday (Nov. 10, 1992) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.
Born Oct. 15, 1904, in Clark, S.D., he attended South Dakota schools. He had lived in the Austin-Adams area for many years. He married Agnes Crilly on Oct. 20, 1926, in Austin. Mr. Hass was an auto mechanic at the Chevrolet garage in Adams and had worked at the Cedar River Country Club. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, had served as Adams fire chief and belonged to the Conservation Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Cashman and Sister Lucille Hass, both of Rochester, and Kathleen Schneider of Adams; a son, Wayne of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert of Marshfield, Wis.; and a sister, Katherine Greenwald of Marshfield. His wife and two brothers preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with the Rev. Virgil Duellman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturaday at the Adams Funeral Home in Adams where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
