Carl Albert was born on November 17, 1918 at Somerset Street in Philadelphia, Pa 19134. He was the sixth child born to Paul and Nancy Letterie was baptized at St. Anne's R.C.C. on April 27, 1919, his Godparents were Joseph & Margarita Totto (St. Anne's Book 1917-33, Page 72. He went to Northeast High School and later joined the US Navy during the Second World War serving on a Destroyer. After returning from the war, he worked for the US Army Arsenal in the Frankford section of the city as a machinist. he retired from that job. He married PHILOMENA THERESA "FANNEY" (TACCONELLI) on April 26, 1942 at St. Anne's R.C. Church in Philadelphia, Pa. The couple had three Children, they being: Carl Jr. on May 24, 1943, KATHLEEN June 2, 1946 and Marion February 8, 1954. They Lived on Memphis street in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Carl enjoyed gardening, he planting tomatoes and peaches in his garden. He was the oldest member of the Order of Sons of Italy # 610 at the time of his death. He was a life long member of the American Legion.

NE Lodge and American Legion Post 152 are invited to his Funeral, Wed. 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. at CASSIZZI FUNERAL HOME, 2913-17 E. Thompson St. (at Cambria St.) followed by his 11 A.M. Funeral Mass, Mother of Divine Grace Church. Int. Our Lady of Grace
