Maxine Nunn
A memorial service will be held June 1 for Maxine S. Nunn of Eugene, who died May 23 of a stroke following heart surgery. She was 78. Nunn was born March 13, 1926, in Absarokee, Mont., to Fletcher and Ressa Riddle. She married Lyle Nunn in Spokane on Aug. 8, 1947. She lived in Spokane until 1963, when she settled in this area. She graduated from Lyman High School in Nebraska. She attended Eugene Bible College for 1 1/2 years and she also attended several computer classes. She served in the Women's Army Corps at the rank of corporal. She worked as an office manager, bookkeeper and assistant controller and in the publications department at Williams Bakery for 25 years. Her interests included computers and finance. She was a member of Calvary Open Bible Church in Springfield and the Eugene Bible College Alumni. She served as a volunteer financial advisor. She enjoyed being a "second mom" to younger women and providing them with en- couragement. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Tuesday's service will be held at 2 p.m. at Calvary Open Bible Church in Springfield. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.
