Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, with Rev. Mike Tyson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born January 16, 1929 in Buffalo, Texas. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a former member of Grace Methodist Church in Texas City. She came to Texas City in 1947 and was a survivor of the Texas City Disaster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Williams; her parents, Rubin Camron LeGalley and Ethal Raines LeGalley.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna Day and husband Danny of Texas City, Texas; her son, James Floyd Williams and wife Jane of League City, Texas; her grand-daughters, Denise and husband Andy, Shelly and husband Scott, Mary and husband Ernest and Sue Beth and husband Rusty; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbourview Care Center and A-Med Hospice for their dedication to servicing Mrs. Williams in her final trip home.
