George Harrison Dudley Sr.

George Harrison Dudley Sr., 83, of Bedford, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was born in Rockbridge Co. on July 20, 1930, a son of the late George Henry Dudley and Nora Bell Sloan Dudley Smith.

Harrison attended the Bedford Church of God and owner/operator of Dudley Lumber and Logging for 39 years.

For those that knew Harrison, knew him to be a friendly, honorable and proud man. A loving and providing husband, father, Paw Paw and trusted friend. A man with a passion for his work of logging and sawmilling and just being in the great outdoors. The talent of building three beautiful homes and furniture for his family.

He had a tenderness and love for animals throughout his life. He was a man like no other, a man that left his legacy behind for others to see, a love that can never be taken from us, because he will always remain in our hearts and memories.
