MRS. W.R. SMITH DIES AT CADIZ TODAY
Mrs. Nannie Noel Smith, 91, died at 1:15am today at Trigg County Hospital, Cadiz, where she had been a patient for 12 days.
The funeral will be at 2pm tomorrow at Cadiz Baptist Church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. J. Norman Ellis,and assisted by her former pastor, the Rev. Shirley Spahr. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Smith, of Cadiz, was born in Trigg County in the Canton community, Jan 10, 1874, the daughter of Major and Helen Cunningham Noel.
On April 28, 1895, she married William R. Smith, who died Aug. 27, 1936. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tom Gordon, Golden Pond; and Mrs. W.D. Feltner, Cadiz; four grandchildren, Wallace Reed Gordon, Golden Pond, Mrs. John Biggers, Collinsville, Ill., Miss Ann Feltner, Greenville, S.C., and Mrs. Jack Russell, Memphis, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Elliott Hanson Smith and Rumsey Holt Smith.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
