LONG ILLNESS FATAL TO MYERS
Death came early Monday to H, .P. "Bud" Myers, pioneer farmer at his home nine miles north of Curtis, following a lingering illness. Funeral rites were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 O'clock
from the Mooreland Methodist church with the Pastor Rev. A. B. Grubb, officiating. Burial was in the Mooreland Cemetery with the Armstrong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Myers came to Oklahoma 35 years ago and homesteaded the place where he was living at the time of his death. He was a member of the Mooreland Masonic lodge, and up until the past few months had been active in politics; having been a candidate for commissioner two years ago.
Survivors are the wife of the home and two brothers Fred LeMasters, Topeka, KS; Harry LeMasters, Gilmer City, NE and two sisters Mrs. Jennie Slade, Tecumseh, NE and Mrs. Jessie Driscoll, Leavenworth, KS (Woodward County Newspaper April 10, 1939, Front Page)
