Mrs. Adkins was born February 13, 1897, in Carter County, a daughter of the late John and Helen Carroll Prichard. Her husband, Milburn Adkins, died in 1970.
She was a member of First Church of Christ at Grayson.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosa Lee Hearn and Janet Rusk, both of Grayson; a son, Glen Adkins of Grayson, two sisters, Clara Clark of Grayson; Virginia Cassity of Muncie, Indiana; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Malone Funeral Home at Grayson by Phil Lemaster. Burial will be in Grayson Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral home.
