AUSTIN -- The funeral for Aloris F. Hanson will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Kristin K. Wee officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Hanson, 85, of Austin, a retired business owner, died Tuesday (April 20, 1999) at Adams Health Care Center in Adams.
Aloris F. Teff was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Dorchester, Iowa, and after graduating from Caledonia High School in 1932 moved to Austin. On Feb. 27, 1936, she married Henry B. Hanson in Northwood, Iowa. They owned and operated Henry's Cafe in Austin until 1955 and then owned and operated the Cheese Mart until their retirement. Her husband died in 1982. Mrs. Hanson was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin and a past member of Unity Chapter 29 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Sheldon of Portage, Wis.; a daughter, Pamela (Mrs. Harold) Beattie of Crystal Lake, Ill.; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter, and a brother, Max Teff of Austin. She was preceded in death by her twin brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
