Ada C. (Clem) Anderson, age 73 of Harrison, passed away September 4, 1987 at Mercy Manor in Grayling. Mrs. Anderson was born on June 8, 1914 in Crab Run, West Virginia the daughter of David and Mary Belle (Hardman) Cain.
Mrs. Anderson had resided in the Harrison area since 1942, moving from West Virginia. She was a member of the Harrison Order of Eastern Star Chapter #408 and a member of the Hardman Chapel in Smithville, WV. The former Ada C. Cain was united in marriage to Edwin E. Anderson on February 27, 1937 in Morgantown, WV.
Surviving are her husband Ed of Harrison; three sons Gayle of Meridith, Neil of Harrison and Frank of Davidson; two daughters Mary (Dick) Jarvis and Jody (Dave) Reidel both of Houghton Lake; one brother Erskine Cain of St. Albans, WV; one sister Mrs. Eileen Stanley of Kenna, WV; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. Wilma Baxter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 8 from the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Robert Kauffman officiating. Order of Eastern Star memorial services followed. Cremation services were from the Autumn Valley Crematorium. Her cremains will be returned to West Virginia.
